What we do not provide

The doctrine guardrails on this product.

Same wording lives on /editorial-policy#doctrine and /llms.txt. The data product inherits the same claim-ceiling.

We do not sell pre-screened provider lists.
Pre-screening implies a human or process check we don't perform. Our provider data is source-cited, not pre-vetted. Buyers expecting a quality stamp on each provider should look elsewhere — see /editorial-policy for the full claim-ceiling doctrine.
We do not resell restricted source data.
Where a source's terms restrict redistribution (e.g. some state-board exports, state-bar registries, NMLS Consumer Access, ABMS / CertiFacts), we cite the source publicly but do not include those rows in any export. Every dataset is built from public-record data we have explicit license to redistribute with attribution.
We do not provide patient or customer data.
OwnListed does not collect, hold, or sell patient records, claim records, or end-consumer behavioral data. The exports are provider-level public-record data only.
We do not backfill from Google Places.
Where a study's universe needs to be expanded, we expand it from the federal/state public record (CMS NPPES, CMS Care Compare, state contractor boards). We do not pad the dataset with Google Places listings unless explicitly noted on the study page.
We do not claim a paid API exists today.
Datasets ship as static CSV/JSON downloads on /research. A query API is on the roadmap but not yet available. The sample B2B exports above are concept descriptions — request scoping via press@ownlisted.com.
We do not claim full market census.
Even on source-backed verticals, our exports cover only the providers in the source's published universe. Treat counts as the floor, never as a definitive market headcount.
